When you've logged into TestMonitor, first thing you see is the project Dashboard. The dashboard gives you an overview of the status of the active project.
Click the project name shown in the header and selecting the preferred project from the list, to view the project dashboard.
Click the TestMonitor logo in the top left, to return to the project dashboard from one of the other menu items.
The project dashboard provides you with an overview of the project status. You can get an insight in the progress of the project milestones, several project statistics, messages from project members, your active test runs, and your tasks. Next to this, it offers the TestMonitor Tutorial to walk you through the TestMonitor features.
The tutorial gives you an overview of the most important features of TestMonitor. You can browse through all articles in the Tutorial by using the arrows right and left or clicking the dots below. The tutorial provides the following articles:
- Define Requirements and Risks.
- Design Test Suites and Test Cases.
- Plan Milestones and Test Runs.
- Run Tests.
- Track Results.
- Use Reports.
Once you've read the tutorial, you can hide it by either selecting Skip >> in the top right of the tutorial or by deactivating Hide tutorial in your account settings. You can find your account settings by clicking your avatar in the header menu and choosing Your account....
Below the tutorial you can find an overview of the progress of your project's milestones. Milestones which have been reached are checked an marked green. Milestones to be reached next are checked.
Click on a milestone to open the milestones overview.
Next, you are given an overview of several other statistics concerning this project. You get an overview of how many test cases, test runs, test results and issues are made in your project.
Click on a statistic to open the related page.
In the bottom left you can post messages visible for all project members and you can view the messages of other project members as well.
To post a message, type your message and click Post.
Your Test Runs
At the right of the messages you get an overview of your active Test Runs. Test run code, description, and end date are shown for each active test run. You can start running a test by selecting the green 'start' button' to the right of the test run.
