In TestMonitor you can create issues based on your test results. This allows you to relate multiple test results to one issue. It also gives you more options later on in the testing process when tracking your issues.
Issues created from test results can, for example, be filtered on their related risks and requirements.
Start creating an issue based on your test results by selecting Track > Test Runs. Open the sidebar by selecting the test run where the test result is part of.
When clicking the Bug icon to the right of a test result in the sidebar, you can either create a new issue or link to an existing issue. In this case, you select create a new issue. A popup will appear allowing you to specify the issue.
To specify a new issue you need to fill the following fields:
- Name (required)
Name your issue to its relevance, this is the name shown in the issue overview
- Description (required)
Description of the issue.
- Status (required)
The current status of the issue, this is good to use for your reporting and filtering. Choose between open, in progress, resolved, retest, and closed. You can add personalized statuses in settings.
- Impact (required)
The Impact of the issue, choose between Minor, Major and Blocking. You can add personalized impacts in settings
- Assignee (required)
Choose a project member to assign this issue to.
- Category (required)
The category of the issue, for example a bug, feature request, or test design. You can add personalized categories in settings.
- Priority (required)
The priority of the issue, Low, Medium and High. You can add personalized priorities in settings.
Press Save, to add the new issue or Cancel to go back to the test runs overview page.
