You can edit an issue in two ways:
- By opening its detail page.
- By opening its sidebar.
In this paragraph, it is explained how to update an issue through its detail page.
Go to the issue detail page via resolve and click on the code of an issue or click the > at the right of an issue.
A pencil is shown, when you move your cursor over Name, Status, Impact, Priority, Category, Assignee, Resolution, and Description. Select the particular field and you'll be able to edit the text or select an additional item. Press the 'save' button, to save the changes you've made or 'cancel' to discard them.
In the versions block you can add information regarding the version in which the issue was found under affects and the version in which the issue is fixed under fixed in.
Link a tag that helps you classify your issues under the tags block.
In the attachments field you can find the to this issue related attachments. You can add attachments in several ways:
- Selecting the attachment area. Click the field and a pop-up will appear, you can now find one or multiple files by using your operating system’s file directory. Just select your files and they will be automatically uploaded to TestMonitor.
- Drag& Drop. Select files straight from your computer and just drag and drop them in the attachment area to easily upload attachments.
In the Comments tab you can add comments and notes that are relevant for your teammates regarding the issue. This is a perfect way to keep internal communication structured. Add a comment by typing your message and click on the Post button. New comments are shown underneath.
Go to the Tasks tab to manage the tasks related to the issue. The description, expiration date and assignee are shown for each task. The check boxes to the left allow you to tick off tasks. You can use the 'delete' button to the right to delete tasks when needed.
Use the Add Task... button to add a new task related to this issue. A pop-up is shown and you need to fill the following fields: description, assignee and expiration date. Press Save, to add the new task or Cancel to go back to the issue detail page.
Under the tab test results you can track all test results that are linked to the issue including the attachments that were added by the tester.
Under activities you can trace all activities that have taken place regarding the issue.
