Use test cases to guide testers.
Test cases are grouped into test suites. Use test cases to guide testers through a sequence of instructions to determine if the software meets the pre-defined requirements.
To design test cases, click Design in the header. The Test Suites overview page displays. Click the name of the test suite or the arrow button. The Test Cases overview page of the specific test suite displays. It provides a list of all test cases for a specific test suite.
Each test suite has its own set of test cases. Make sure a test suite exists, or create a one first to continue.
The Test Cases overview page shows the test case code, name, requirements, and draft status. The Filter icon on the left side of the page opens the filters panel. Use the Search field next to the Filter icon to find a test case that matches your search parameters.
Click the Cog button on the right side of the page to edit column display.
Customizing filter settings
Use filters to find items that match your search parameters.
The filters side panel on the left side page provides the following:
Shows test cases related to the selected requirement(s).
Shows test cases related to the selected risk(s).
Shows test cases related to the selected application(s).
Shows test cases with or without preconditions.
Shows test cases with or without the expected result.
Shows test cases with or without test data.
With / Without test Runs
Shows test cases with or without test runs.
Shows test cases linked to the tags that you defined.
Shows test cases set as a draft.
Updated From -To
Shows test cases updated during a specific time frame.
Trashed Test Cases
Shows removed test cases.
Click the Cog button next to the Filter icon to open a menu. Use the checkboxes to hide or unhide filter fields. Choose Reset to deactivate all set filters.
Click Save filter to reuse frequently used combinations
A pop-up box displays. Enter a name.
Use multiple filters to combine several criteria like Requirements and Tags.
Configuring column display
Code, Name, Requirements, and Draft are the default columns on the Test Cases overview page. The other columns are Risks, Applications, Duration, Created, and Updated.
To hide or unhide columns, click the Cog button on the right side of the page.
Click Reset to default to go back to the default display.
