What kind of encryption is used to secure TestMonitor?
TestMonitor ensures security for both data in transit and data at rest.
- Data in transit: All communication between your browser and TestMonitor is protected using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates issued by Thawte, with RSA 2048-bit encryption and organization validation. This guarantees that your connection is encrypted and that all information exchanged remains secure. When supported, communication with integrations is also encrypted at the same high standard.
- Data at rest: Sensitive data stored within TestMonitor is encrypted using AES-256 encryption in CBC mode, with unique initialization vectors (IVs) to ensure strong protection. This means that stored information is safeguarded and can only be decrypted by authorized systems with the proper encryption key.
Together, these measures provide end-to-end protection of your data, both while it is transmitted and while it is stored.
